Creative Potential

Frensham Heights School recognizes students who demonstrate passion and talent through special awards available to all sixth-formers, including those who attend as day pupils. The program spans dance, drama, music, visual arts, and photography, while aspiring creatives can also pursue graphic communication or explore design and technology—whichever direction matches their interests.

Drama at Frensham Heights School

Drama begins in kindergarten and continues through each year group, emphasizing creation, performance, and analysis. As students explore roles, narratives, and language, they develop their abilities while working on set design, scriptwriting, and directing. Technical aspects like sound and lighting round out the skillset they can acquire.

Dance

Dance is compulsory from kindergarten through Year 10, developing students’ physical skills alongside discipline and confidence. Through its partnership with the Kahli Lewis dance company, Frensham Heights School provides world-class training with multiple award opportunities, creating an environment where young talent can flourish and reach new levels.

Music at Frensham Heights School provides students with comprehensive experience through listening, performing, and exploring diverse genres. Specialist teachers offer instruction across various instruments, while the curriculum’s focus on practical musicianship allows each pupil to discover their strengths and develop them further. Creative Arts

The Arts and Design Center at Frensham Heights School features modern facilities and showcases a wide range of student work. Starting in kindergarten, the program continues with six-hour art lessons in Years 7-9, where students explore both 2D and 3D design. Design and Technology combines creative direction with science and commerce, offering another avenue for hands-on learning.
